We were blessed to have collaborated with the Diocese of Salt Lake City this past Lenten Season in providing them expert Resource Persons to facilitate their Annual Lenten Retreats.  Fr. Jorge Rativa, OP, guided two Lenten Retreats, one in English and one in Spanish, at St. George Parish for the Southeastern region of the diocese (click here for the Intermountain Catholic’s article).

Also in that region, Alejandro Barraza, Director of Hispanic Ministry for the Diocese of Las Cruces, served as a Congar Institute Resource Person and led a Lenten Retreat for Young Adults in Cedar City, UT (click here for the Intermountain Catholic’s article).

In Salt Lake City, more than 350 people gather to attend the Lenten Retreats.  In English the retreat was facilitated by Fr. Jeffery Ott, OP, who used the second chapter of Pope Francis’ 2013 Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii Guadium as the source of his presentation (click here for the Intermountain Catholic’s article).    Fr. Sergio Serrano, OP, led the retreat in Spanish to about 250 Hispanics that were in attendance (click here for the Intermountain Catholic’s article in Spanish).  At the Congar Institute, we feel grateful for the opportunity to provide expert Resource Persons where they are most needed.
