On February 9-10, 2015, Congar Institute for Ministry Development facilitated a retreat and discernment/election process for the directors of Hispanic ministry belonging to the Region X of the National Catholic Association of Diocesan Directors of Hispanic Ministry (NCADDHM). Fr. Wayne Cavalier OP, Alejandro Siller and Lizett Farias guided the participants through a prayerful process that included reflection on the personal call to ministry, on leadership as accompaniment and on the call to pastoral conversion. Fr. Wayne celebrated mass for the group the first day. The second day the group was led in a discernment process for the election of new and interim officers. The communal prayerful process allowed the participants to reflect on their sense of co-responsibility; then they went through a powerful personal and communal discernment of gifts that led to consensus regarding the needed elections. Thank you NCADDHM’s Region X for this invitation!
