It is always a joy to proclaim the Kerygma to those who eagerly await and long to open their hearts to God’s love for them. It is a privilege to foster understanding and to invite personal and communal response to this love. I have often perceived a resurgence of hope in the mist of the community’s daily struggle to survive.
The renewed sense of integrity and the call to mission invite each person to be faithful to learn new skills for honest communication in marriage and in the family. The capacity to recognize and face personal and communal shortcoming opens the road for compassionate and more effective ways to respond to communal needs and goals that become clearer to discern.
I am grateful for the opportunity to support these efforts that bless our Spanish speaking immigrant community.
