Assistant Director for Hispanic Programs
I feel fortunate and blessed to be part of the Congar Institute community!
Since I arrived to Congar I have felt hospitality and welcoming which has given me the “feeling of actually belonging even though I was just arriving”. The mission of our institute is significant for me because of its commitment to seek excellence in the formation of lay people, especially those not yet integrated in our local Church communities. Congar serves through communal collaboration in solidarity with the local Church and national religious congregations which I feel is a way of committing ourselves to the New Evangelization we have been called to by our Church leadership today.
I am a husband, father and immigrant from Mexico. My main professional occupation in Mexico was in the corporate world, and my side formal education was in Pastoral Theology and Human Development. I came to the USA with my wife Louise Anne fourteen years ago, after a long process of conversion, that led us to commit ourselves to serve in faith and pastoral formation in our Church with our brothers and sisters not yet fully accepted and welcomed in our Church communities , especially in the rural areas.
Today I come to the Congar Institute to serve in its mission and to grow with our Church community in discipleship with Jesus.
