Jesus, what does hope look like when you’re in agony? Or when you’re being tortured to death? Or when your own followers are so traumatized that they have trouble believing their own experience that you’re risen? Throughout all this, you kept focusing on your Father. Or when you’re trying to make a difference amid vast uncertainty, or participating in a synodal faith-walk forward while realizing there is no going back to “how things were”? In all, let’s focus on our God. That is the bedrock experience of hope.
