We are summoned by Jesus to be his missionary disciples in a concrete Christian community. To fulfill our vocation-mission, we are invited to nourish ourselves with his Word. In it, we will discover God’s generosity towards us, his created children. Indeed, the parable of the Sower shows us that God, Our Father, blesses the community of missionary disciples with many gifts. So much so that his gifts superabound; As Jesus teaches, the seeds fall everywhere. The parable also focuses on the fruits that divine gifts produce in the community. Blessed with so many divine gifts, we can do no less than fulfill our vocation-mission and produce many fruits.
The only question here is whether our heart is willing to discover and even perceive those gifts and their fruits; if our heart wants to, it will rejoice and savor the generosity of God and the abundance of life that it can produce. When we let the Holy Spirit guide us, these words of Jesus become incarnate in us: “Blessed are you, because your eyes see, and your ears hear. I assure you that many prophets and many righteous people wanted to see what you see and did not see it and to hear what you hear and did not hear it" (Mt 13: 16-17).
